Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden for years has showcased the gardens and delighted visitors through Holiday illumination. The Garden collaborated with 3. Fromme Design to evaluate their existing light show and develop a unified vision for future enhancements. The show’s previous success was the foundation for the master plan. The proposed designs augment and evolve past displays to create a distinctive “must see” holiday tradition and destination for the region.

The master plan and design elements Celebrate DSBG’s unique identity and garden spaces while reflecting its mission to provide a place to enjoy beauty in a natural setting. The overarching goal was to establish compelling design themes for each garden space while sequencing “Wow!” components throughout the entire show. Phasing allows the Gardens to evolve the show incrementally, cultivate donors, and leverage new elements for marketing.

The Garden began implementing the Master Plan in 2018 with the choreographed Topiaries of Light and the Luminary Lanterns.
