The Station, a part of the University of North Carolina system, selected 3. Fromme Design and David Sacks Landscape Architect to engage Board, Staff, Faculty, and community members in visualizing the future of the 1920s organization.

Tres Fromme led a dynamically participatory group process to envision a future of innovation based on the Station’s strong traditions. A major theme was unifying the WPA era Nature Center, academic Research Station, and Botanical Garden to seamlessly present the exceptional biodiversity and unique ecology of the Highlands Plateau.
