The Garden engaged 3. Fromme Design to develop a light show master plan to draw visitors and generate revenue during the Holiday Season. Collaboration with staff focused on creating immersive experiences unique to each of the Garden's three primary spaces: the Visitor Center/Amphitheater Lawn, the Tandy Floral Terraces, and the Children's Discovery Garden. Designs showcase the plants and features of the individual gardens based and highlight their design intents: traditional warm welcome; classical stately grandeur; and playful enchanted whimsy, respectively.

Garden of Lights Phase 1 opened in 2018 and Phase 2 more than doubled attendance in 2019.
