Atlanta Botanical Garden Gainesville | Garden Design
3. Fromme Design spearheaded the design of over four acres of horticuturally-intense plantings for this new botanical showplace, a satellite facility of the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Garden Staff and Fromme worked together closely to generate plant lists, develop color sequences, and assure four seasons of floricultural display. The design integrates a significant woody plant collection Staff have obtained and propagated since the 1990s, particularly Magnolias, Maples, and Witch Hazels.
Fromme also led Studio Outside in detailing and developing the paths, paving, and other features based on Herb Schaal’s original master plan. He then, as part of ABG’s Staff, reviewed construction for compliance with the design intent and laid out all the plantings. The Garden opened to visitors in 2015.
