The Desert Botanical Garden invited Tres Fromme to collaborate on their inaugural orchid display celebrating the opening of The RAF Exhibit Gallery. The planting design celebrates the range of forms, colors, textures, and fragrances orchids have evolved, both naturally and through human intervention. Pairing well-known desert plants with the orchids frames the exotic with the familiar. Both orchids and desert plants have evolved very specific and unique responses to their environments. Intentional juxtapositions highlights these morphological and aesthetic qualities to showcase the orchids. Desert Botanical Garden exhibition staff stewarded the design and installed the show to perfection.
